Abstract: In this talk, I will present our ongoing efforts to test beyond-LCDM models using the final six-year data from the Dark Energy Survey (DES Y6). Specifically, I will focus on employing an empirical approach known as the "geometric-growth split" to investigate the consistency of cosmological parameters that govern the expansion history and structure growth of the universe. This method was previously applied to the DES Y1 analysis, and we focus on these results for this talk. We concentrate on splitting the matter density parameter (Omega_m) into components associated with geometry and growth. By analyzing galaxy clustering and weak lensing and combining these with external data from Planck CMB measurements and BAO, we aim to determine if the DES Y6 data supports the LCDM model or indicates a need for beyond-LCDM physics. This method also serves as a rigorous internal check for systematic errors.
