Abstract: New generation galaxy surveys are expected to break new grounds in cosmology, shedding light on questions such as the nature of dark energy or how the initial conditions of the Universe are set. The vast amount of data is significantly reducing the statistical uncertainties of our measurements, requiring us to have exquisite control over theoretical modeling and effects from astrophysics. 
I will present results from the Dark Energy Survey final dataset on the Baryonic Acoustic Oscillation scale, determined with a precision of 2.1%. Remarkably, despite only using photometric redshifts we are able to set robust and competitive galaxy clustering results. The DES BAO measurement at redshift ~0.85 is 4.3% and 2.1σ below the BAO scale predicted by Planck-LCDM. 

I will also discuss future prospects for using galaxy clustering to measure Primordial Non-Gaussianities as a smoking gun for exotic inflation. Finally, I will discuss how our uncertainties in the relation between galaxies and dark matter can represent a challenge in LSS and recent developments to overcome it.
